Havaianas
The Havaianas brand was the first to create rubber slippers inspired by the Japanese "Zori" sandals. The first models had a white sole and colored strap detail. Initially these men's slippers , women's flip-flops, children's slippers and girls' flip-flops were worn by the poorer classes, so much so that they were considered a basic necessity by the government. In 1994 a line of colored Havaianas flip-flops was born with the sole facing upwards and the Havaianas logo on the sole, giving life to a line of single-coloured slippers which immediately became a huge success. In 1998 to support Brazil at the World Cup the brand inserted the Brazilian flag which today we recognize as the distinctive sign of these rubber flip flops.
